Greenery Hat

I have been knitting a Greenery Hat with the Debbie Bliss Fez in the light gray color I purchased from the Hillsborough Yarn Shop. Instead of knitting a beret, I recalculated the number to cast on to make a stocking cap. I'm beginning the decreases now. I've really enjoyed knitting with this Merino Wool and Camel mix.

Here are a few pictures from my trip to Topsail Island with my Bible study group. It was such a refreshing time to have quiet times on the beach, walk under the stars, get to know these wonderful friends better, and learn new games.

Third Piney Warmth Hat, Union Long, and Fingerless Mitts

I finished my third piney warmth hat after I moved to school.

I designed these fingerless mitts my first week of school. I finished them the other night after ice skating with my friends. They will be perfect for the cold academic buildings so I can still take notes. I also plan to use them while knitting. I designed them with a picot edge on the top.

My friend, Mallory, took these pictures on the front lawn of East Carolina University by some of the largest trees on campus and the artwork from the art majors.

Here are a few more pictures of my Union Long Beanie.

Lace Leaves Cowl and Hat

Last fall, when I did the photo shoot with Emma, at Auburn Rose Photography, I didn't put all the pictures on the blog at the same time. Here is one of my favorite projects, the lace leaves cowl and hat that are knit from hand-painted yarn from Greenberry House, the knitting shop of my cousin in Meadows-of-Dan, Virginia. It is an alpaca yarn, light, but extremely soft and warm. Last winter, I wore this set almost constantly.

And here are pictures of my pets, my female beta fish, Pippy and Zula.

Finished Union Long Beanie!

Last night, I finally finished my Union Long Beanie! I also found a very unique button in my mother's collection and used it to add a funky finish. The hat is the perfect length for covering my ears and keeping me warm around campus, without being too hot or sacrificing design. This photo shoot with my sister was at my grandparents' cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
